GPS DEVICE FOR CARS

Firstly giving a little introduction to the GPS which stands for the GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM which is a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) developed by the United States department of defence ..It can freely be used by almost anyone .. GPS has become widely used to navigation world wide and a useful tool for map making , land surveying , scientific uses , tracking and surveillance and hobby such as geocaching ...

But here we're going to talk about the GPS device for the CAR ! .. This digital mapping technology has made an evolutionary leap . These portable navigation systems can help you to get your destination with audiable driving directions , color maps , points of interest and much much more ...

Here in Pakistan the very first navigation system in cars is introduced by Tracking World Pvt Ltd .Initially the detailed maps are available for the major Pakistani cities which include Islamabad , Rawalpindi , Karachi , Lahore , Peshawar , Quetta , Faisalabad , Hyderabad , Multan , Gujranwala and Wah cantt ..
Streets are labelled and searchable for Isalamabad , Lahore and some parts of karachi ... There are close to about 40'000 points of interest such as fuel/cng stations , banks , ATM's , hospitals , restaurants , hotels , shops etc .. You may also find address and phone no's information of most of these points ..

The navigation unit range from in car dash mounted devices to devices for motorbikes ... There is also a unit which can be integrated with the vehicles LCD and displays navigational information on it . Users will just have to purchase one navigational device and a map of the respective area ...Once configured , users can input for the point of interest or location addresses in the device which will speak out or guide drivers through screens to reach for their destinations .

Glimpse of future:Wireless electricity

Today wireless communication is possible, would it be possible to have wireless electricity?.The answer is yes.Electrical energy is known to be a thing of cables. Many of you imagined the electricity without wire and let me tell you are going to see it very soon. Its a reality in itself, you will be having all your appliances on wireless. With a new approach to electricity transfer, whose grounds were set at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, you will be able to recharge a cell phone or power up a computer without any cables. This time only wireless electricity with any degree of real power is a lightning bolt, or a high voltage discharge (arc). It is not something you can experiment with at home. Please dont mix it with solar energy, what iam talking here is how an electric source will supply electricity without wires. Some believe its out there, but is not available at the commercial level as there is a lot of work to be done on it.If you guys are getting amazed, think for a moment that telephone lines were wired, mobile phones are wireless then why cant we achieve wireless electricity?.Let me remind you that Radio waves create electric current in the receiver which is then amplified to create the sound that you hear. Now i hope you are getting it.if it's so easy then where is the problem?.

Problem with wireless electricity is that it is an inefficient way to distribute it. It spreads out over a wider and wider area the further you get from the source resulting in a huge amount of waste. And due to huge globel financial crises, one can hardly think of wasting that amount of electricity until the proper way of distribion of wireless electricity can be found.Ever heard about "phasor".it was basically an energy weapon developed by US military which believe to create an electric wireless circuit in the air.

Can the modern day technology produce a wireless electricity?

I don't see why not. Nikola Tesla had wireless power transmission figured out in 1914.It';s already being worked on in the labs. It may be a product within maybe 5 or 10  years. And there has been a device invented that plugs into youre wall socket, and gives anything within a few feet of it electricity, i don't think its on the market yet, probably still in the testing phase.

Will there really be wireless electricity in houses in the future?

This is what i believe can not happen for decades to come,Wireless electricity would waste 80% of the generated power - at least, probably. Power would be received only where there is a receiver, all other would be wasted. It simply won't happen until there is a proper way to distribute it as i have mentioned above.

In the next post i will have technical look at how it can be happened and what engineers think about it..share your thoughts on it.
